Sainsbury’s Finance are introducing a new competitive credit card to the market, which offers a range of benefits, reduced charges and discounted interest rates, and has been designed for customers wanting a card for both home and abroad.
The Sainsburys Gold Credit Card offers a variable rate of 9.94 per cent per annum on purchases, and features such as interest-free cash withdrawals, no foreign exchange transaction fees, family travel insurance and no cash advance fees either in the UK or abroad. In addition, it does not carry a balance transfer fee and gives double Nectar points on their Sainsbury’s shopping in-store, online and in petrol stations to its customers.
This means useful potential savings on family travel insurance, foreign exchange fees, cash withdrawal fees and interest on cash advances, although it does carry a monthly fee of GBP5.
Stuart McKeggie, Head of Sainsbury’s Credit Cards commented “Up until now cards aimed at travellers have been designed for use outside the UK, offering no benefit for those using them at home, therefore the Sainsbury’s Gold Credit Card is the first to offer real benefits both home and abroad.”
He added “Card holders could also benefit from the interest free period on cash withdrawals (if the balance is paid in full each month) when staying at home or travelling.”
